Kathmandu / Pawan Kumar Acharya has commenced his tenure as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sanima Bank Limited, effective from January 26, 2026.

Acharya was appointed to the position following a decision of the Bank’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on Kartik 24, 2082 (November 10, 2025).

Associated with Sanima Bank for more than 21 years, Acharya has made significant contributions to the institution in various leadership roles. Prior to assuming the top executive position, he served as the Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer and led more than ten departments and branches during his career at the Bank.

He holds a Master’s degree from Pittsburg State University, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur, India. Academically distinguished, he had secured third position in the SLC examination from Adarsha Vidya Mandir High School.

Acharya’s areas of expertise include credit assessment, digitalization, and project financing. He has also served as the Chairman of Sanima Capital. In addition to his banking career, he has over four years of professional experience as an engineer and five years of experience as a Visiting Faculty.
