Kathmandu — eSewa, Nepal’s first digital payment platform, has announced a special New Year campaign titled ‘Lakhaun Lakh Shubhakamana’ on the occasion of the upcoming English New Year 2026.
The campaign has been introduced targeting remittance users who send money to Nepal from foreign countries through eSewa. As part of the offer, the company has arranged weekly cash rewards of up to NPR 26,000 for four winners, while one bumper winner will receive a grand prize of NPR 202,600.
Speaking about the campaign, eSewa Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Khadka said the initiative aims to make the New Year celebrations more rewarding for remittance users. He stated that the campaign has been specially designed for the 2026 New Year, allowing users sending remittances to participate and win attractive prizes. He also extended New Year greetings, wishing all eSewa users happiness and prosperity.
According to the company, the promotion is open to users sending remittances from various countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Romania, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and several other destinations.
The winners will be selected through a lucky draw system, the company said, adding that the campaign is expected to further encourage the use of digital remittance services through eSewa.
